According to Forbes Chinese edition, American young entrepreneurs are good at innovation, while Chinese young entrepreneurs are good at application, the Beijing Times reported.
Forbes' China edition presented the list of the "30 movers under 30" in China Wednesday, after the magazine's American edition compiled its "30 Under 30" listing of tomorrow's brightest stars in the United States.
A Comparison of the two lists shows that while young American "movers" are reinventing the world in 12 fields such as energy, media, food, and entertainment, most of China's young entrepreneurs have been making money from the internet industry.
None of the 30 Chinese young movers are doing business in energy and real estate, two fields that were very attractive to the American young entrepreneurs.
What's more, the average age of the 30 Americans is 26, while the average age of the 30 Chinese is 28.
The magazine said that the young Chinese moguls mainly make money from e-commerce and the online-gaming industry because these fields are less developed and laxly controlled.
The differences between American and Chinese young movers are just like the roles the two countries have been playing in the world economy: while the United States focuses on research and development, China pays more attention to the market.
That's to say, American young entrepreneurs are good at innovation, while Chinese young entrepreneurs are good at application, the magazine concluded.
