Mooncake chess combines game and treats

The mooncake is the traditional Chinese food for Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Sept. 12 this year, or Aug. 15 on the Chinese lunar calendar. A bakery in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, sells chess pieces made from mooncakes. In this version of the popular board game Xiang Qi (Chinese chess), which represents the battle between two armies - red and black - players can eat the mooncake pieces when they are captured and removed from the board. The creative Xiang Qi mooncake is a hot seller, local media reported. [CFP]
