   Euhelopus zdanskyi Wiman  師氏盤足龍

These dinosaur remains, known as the first Sauropod found in China, were excavated by Austrian paleontologist Otto A. Zdansky and Chinese geologist Tan Xichou in Mengyin County, today's Xintai City in Shandong Province in 1922 and 1923. The remains were later moved to the University of Uppsala, Sweden. The dinosaur was originally named Helopus, meaning "Marsh Foot" by famous paleontologist Carl Wiman in 1929, but renamed Euhelopus in 1956 by Romer. This plant-eating dinosaur is about 10 to 11 meters long, and lived during the Late Jurassic Period.
