Ron Piccirillo, 37, who is an oil painter and graphic designer, claims to have finally cracked the 500-year-old mystery of the Mona Lisa -- by spotting hidden images that nobody has seen before, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Piccirillo found the heads of a lion, an ape and a buffalo hovering in the air after turning the painting on its side. He also discovered a crocodile or snake coming out of the left hand side of her body by following the instructions as laid out in the journals of Leonardo da Vinci.

Piccirillo claims that his discovery cracks open the meaning of the work -- that the Mona Lisa is actually a representation of envy.

《蒙娜麗莎》暗藏四只動物

???????據英國《每日電訊報》報道，將該畫作橫過來時，皮西里羅在畫中裊裊的空氣里發現了獅子﹑猿猴和水牛的頭。按照達·芬奇的筆記所給的提示，他還發現一只又像鱷魚又像蛇的動物從蒙娜麗莎的左側游走出來。

???????皮西里羅稱，自己的發現破解了該畫作的意義，即《蒙娜麗莎》實際上所表達的主題是妒嫉。

???????他還表示，自己在提香和拉斐爾等其他文藝復興時期畫家的作品中，也發現了類似的隱藏形象。
