On Wednesday, the "Future of Interaction (Season 4) - Exhibition of Young Artists from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau" opened at the Luohu Art Museum. The exhibition will run until August 4.

The exhibition began soliciting submissions from young artists in these regions on February 22, 2024. After an extensive call for entries and expert evaluations by the organizing committee, artworks by over 120 artists were selected to participate in the exhibition.

The exhibition features approximately 130 pieces, showcasing a variety of forms including paintings, sculptures, installations, and video art. These works are rich in content, combining profound meanings with strong visual impact and unique artistic styles. They reflect the diverse perspectives, open-minded thinking, and cross-disciplinary innovation practices of young artists from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau, vividly illustrating the cultural integration and vitality of the Greater Bay Area.

Chen Junyu, the curator of this exhibition and President of the Shenzhen Youth Artists Association, noted that the Luohu Art Museum's longstanding commitment to the "Future of Interaction" project has made it an important platform in the ecosystem of contemporary Chinese youth art. As the earliest developed area in Shenzhen, Luohu boasts a profound historical and cultural heritage and a distinct spirit of reform and innovation. In the new era, it will continue to serve as fertile ground for discovering and nurturing emerging artists.

As one of the events in the 2024 Luohu Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cultural Month, this exhibition presents the diverse artistic orientations of young artists from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau through various artistic languages and expressions. It reflects the emotional resonance and cultural connection between these regions, sharing common roots and cultural heritage. Through this series of exhibitions, we can further showcase the cultural charm of Luohu, promote deeper cultural integration between Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau, and drive the high-quality development of the arts in the Greater Bay Area, highlighting the vigorous vitality of this cultural region, said Yu Yanfeng, Director of the Luohu Art Museum.
