In the first six months of this year, the Luohu Border Inspection Station facilitated the clearance of over 30 million inbound and outbound passengers, marking a significant increase compared to the same period in 2023. The station broke the single-day passenger flow record four times since the resumption of clearance, with the highest daily flow exceeding 248,000 passengers.

This year, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day coincided with the weekend, and the completion of high school and college entrance exams, along with the official opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link on June 30, led to a surge in cross-border travel and consumption with family and friends. The port experienced multiple peak flows in both directions. From June 29 to June 30, Luohu Border Inspection Station inspected over 470,000 inbound and outbound passengers, with a single-day passenger flow of over 248,000 on June 30, once again setting a new record since the resumption of clearance. This achievement underscores the role of "high-level clearance support" in promoting "high-quality local development."

Since the beginning of the year, Luohu Border Inspection Station has inspected over 4,300 "144-hour visa-free tour groups" and efficiently processed hundreds of thousands of foreign travelers, a year-on-year increase of more than double, significantly boosting the tourism and consumption market economy. This has provided new advantages for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in shaping a high-level opening to the outside world.

The convenience of clearance extends beyond transportation to various aspects of life. Against the backdrop of Shenzhen's "Dual-Zone" construction, the role of Luohu Port has also evolved. It is no longer just a simple entry and exit channel but also an important platform for cultural exchange and cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Frequent cultural activities not only enrich the cultural life of people on both sides but also promote mutual development through exchanges, laying a solid foundation for building a culturally rich Greater Bay Area. Since the beginning of the year, Luohu Border Inspection Station has actively promoted the construction of a "Cultural Gateway," inviting youth orchestras from Shenzhen and Hong Kong to perform flash mob concerts at Luohu Port and organizing themed activities such as "Mobile Ideological and Political Classes" at the Luohu Bridge Patriotic Education Base, building a bridge for cultural and emotional exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Additionally, the station has implemented special inspection areas for cross-border students and the elderly, inspected over 540,000 cross-border students in the first half of the year, and provided emergency assistance to passengers more than 20 times.
