Chinese shares closed higher in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.38 percent, or 8.69 points, to close at 2,300.59.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.65 percent, or 60.43 points, to finish at 9,327.14.
